Rebekah Pridgeon, MA, LPC
Therapist & The Sparrow Center Owner
I have a passion for helping others.
I earned my Bachelors in Psychology from Texas A&M and my Masters in Counseling from Saint Edward’s University. In between those two degrees, I had a successful career in corporate America. During my former career, I honed my skills in working with a vast array of people across many different walks of life and cultures to build teams, solve problems, and nurture relationships.
When I decided it was time to put all of my effort into specifically helping people heal, I left my career to focus on becoming a Licensed Professional Counselor.
My diverse experience and training includes working with children, teens, adults, and families with presenting concerns of anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Knowledge is power—and if you are armed with knowledge, you then have the ability to generalize what you’ve learned and better understand yourself and the world around you.
I work from the theoretical model of Interpersonal Neurobiology, which is based on how human development and functioning is a product of the interactions between the body, mind, and relationship.
While cultivating a therapeutic relationship I will work with you to help you on your journey.
While we work together I will help you make sense of what you are experiencing as well as help you understand how the tools I give you can create change.
I focus on building strengths and work from a positive point of view, while also being realistic and mindful of the challenges. Most of all, I will offer you hope.
