Each of those roles carry expectations of how a woman is supposed to act, how to be, and what to do.  What is expected in each if these roles is defined by society, other women, parents, family, “experts”, media, and by herself.  Oftentimes these definitions and expectations can become a heavy burden.

Many women give everything they have to each of their roles.  Yet, instead of feeling good or fulfilled, they find themselves feeling empty, depleted, unfulfilled, overwhelmed, or simply unhappy.  These feelings can show up in many different ways such as yelling, crying, impatience, hopelessness, depression, anxiety, anger, and disconnection to name just a few.
