I’m a direct, solution-focused therapist with deep experience working with men, couples, and first responders. I don’t believe in fluff or theory for theory’s sake. Instead, my job is to help you understand what’s happening. I give you tools that work, and walk with you through the change process. As a result, clients come to me when they’re overwhelmed, burned out, or stuck in patterns they can’t break. Some are dealing with trauma they’ve never talked about, while others are trying to understand why their relationship feels like a minefield. In the same way, many are simply trying to make it through the day without losing their edge—or their temper.
My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), enhanced by advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and certification in Emotional Transformation Therapy (ETT). Because of that, I use a blend of these techniques to help you get immediate relief and long-term change — without needing to rehash every painful detail. In addition, I focus on helping you create change that lasts, not just quick fixes.
Over the years, I’ve worked in a range of settings, from the local mental health authority and court systems to substance abuse intervention and private practice. Through those experiences, I’ve sat with people in crisis and with those just beginning to unravel the layers. Along the way, I’ve helped people reconnect with their partners, regulate intense emotions, and rebuild trust in themselves.
I earned my Master’s in Professional Counseling from Texas State University and my Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin. With both clinical expertise and real-world perspective, I bring a calm, grounded presence to the therapy room. Clients often describe me as steady, clear, and no-nonsense. In other words, I’m not here to sit back and analyze. I’m here to work alongside you. Together, we’ll start with where you are and focus on what you need right now, while also digging into the deeper patterns that keep you stuck.
If you’re ready to stop reacting and start rebuilding—whether in your relationship, your career, or your sense of self—I’m here to help you do that. And I’ll be honest: therapy can be hard work. But if you’re willing to show up, I’ll help you make it worth it.
