Anxiety & Depression Therapy
Anxiety is our body’s natural response to stress.
It’s a helpful and necessary response that can keep us safe and can help us perform well.
For most people feelings of anxiety come and go and can last for a few minutes to a few days. However, for some, anxiety can feel like a constant state of being. It can feel uncontrollable or even overwhelming. It can become disabling and affect everyday life at school, with work, in relationships in a negative way.
If you are one of those people, you might also believe this is just the way you are. But, it doesn’t have to be that way. Anxiety is treatable.
Depression is a condition where a person feels sad, hopeless, discouraged, disinterested in life, or unmotivated.
These feelings can rise to a level that interferes with everyday school, work, and relationship life. Depression can happen at any age and can look different across developmental stages.
It can co-occur with other disorders as well as with illnesses and medical conditions. It can be short-term or long-term and can vary in intensity. Depression is treatable.
